Hi,
I’m brand new to SCAMP having discovered it two days ago (2021.01.03).
I’m fairly comfy with Python (and Linux – RedHat, Ubuntu, and Arch, And long, long ago, Slackware.)
In theory, I have a degree in Audio Technology 
but that’s over 30 years old, and I’ve never used it much.
And finally, although I play by ear, I cannot read music worth a damn, and have only a very basic understanding of music theory.
I’m attempting to become better at ear-training. Although I’ve used GNU Solfege and KDE Minuet, as well as web sites https://musictheory.net/ and https://www.rhythmrandomizer.com/ to that end, I started thinking I wanted to write something customized to my lack of skill, and SCAMP seems just about right.
